Minor monetary set back...

... because yarn is expensive. Well, I should clarify that the yarn itself is not expensive - but the sheer volume of yarn a sweater project requires is expensive. But then I felt better when I started pricing alpaca sweaters online. We're talking HUNDREDS of dollars here, people. Which makes my justification of $50 measly dollars seem ENTIRELY sane. I'm anxious to get a hold of my new materials so that I can start... swatching. I've never knit a sweater before, so this is truly a challenging project for me, and if I'm going to spend nine tenths of my rent money on yarn? Bygawd, I'm gonna do it right.

Knit... tink... knit... repeat.

I have NO qualms with burning a nearly completed project due to mishaps, mishapes, and gross misinterpretations of the artists' pattern. Frog it. Tink it. Whatever it takes. However, in the midst of all this neurotic perfectionism, I have other knitters in my life who offer proper perspective in their go-with-the-dropped-stitch-flow...ism. Namely - my MOM! hehe.

Anyway - there are four of us within the same family tree who are participating in the KNNNNNITTING OLYMPICS!!! How exciting is that? And here - we shall track our progress. The triumph. The tragedy. The heartache. The BLISS. *peeself* It's all good. Aaaaaaaaaaall good.
