Blogathon 2005

What it's all about...

There are thirty precious minutes before Blogathon 2005 draws to a close, and I thought it would be appropriate to re-hash why I performed this crazy stunt in the first place. Especially now that I'm drugged on sleep deprivation and chocolate coated caramels. Yum, chocolate.

From Samaritan's Purse dot org:

Aboourart_1Samaritan's Purse is a nondenominational evangelical Christian organization providing spiritual and physical aid to hurting people around the world. Since 1970, Samaritan's Purse has helped meet needs of people who are victims of war, poverty, natural disasters, disease, and famine with the purpose of sharing God's love through His Son, Jesus Christ. The organization serves the Church worldwide to promote the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Whether providing disaster relief to lives ravaged and destroyed by natural disasters, or ministering to those down-trodden and broken in spirit - Samaritan's Purse is there. Rebuilding communities, supporting the Faith, and leading the lost to Christ. It's a fantastic charity, and I hope you will consider sending them your monetary support. I'm just an insanely spastic freak here, doing what I can to support a ministry that has done so much to minister to me personally - as well as those around the world.

Thank-you to those who have already supported me in this b-l-o-g-a-t-h-o-n effort!! Your pledges and words of encouragement have really blessed my socks off. Thank-you. Truly. And to those just now reading this - it's not too late!!! Blogathon 2005 will remain open for pledges until this upcoming Tuesday. So prayerfully consider sending in your support. Mmmmk? K.

It's almost that time....

Lily_sleepeth
... and I'll be joining Lily here in just a second.
It's been a wild ride with you crazy kids this year!
I've enjoyed it thoroughly.
Probably more than any other year so far.

Love love.
Only one more blog to go.

Two very important things just happened.

1. Sean Astin got accepted into Notre Dame - and I cried.
2. He just sponsored me - and I cried.

...it's just one of them things.

I can't believe the sun is up again.

I've officially been awake for 24 hours. I've completely lost all sense of time and awareness and space. I feeeeel alert. But am utterly exhausted. I've been spacing out looking at this screen for the past 15 minutes. Only a short while to go, yet. I'm debating on whether or not to drink more coffee... seeing as how I'll be going to bed in the next few... minutes.

?

Or so.

Ish.

ethness.

hahahahahahahahahahahaha!!!

Evidently I really *AM* a monitor!!! LOL... I totally signed up to be a monitor back-in-the-day, but never heard anything more about it after-the-fact. So, I'm now.. mmm, monitoring! Several of my folk dropped out around 3:30 am. Which worries me. Seems all too coincidental that they all three would've gone to sleep after their 3:30 posts... which leads me to believe that I'm missing something. Perhaps. You know what's really really really odd? I don't feel tired or sleepee at all now. And now there are TWO hours to go. Only TWO. That leaves only four posts left. *small tear* Bitter. Sweet. No, bitter. No, sweet.

note: Sean Astin makes a better hobbit than an aspiring Notre Dam football player. Fightin' Irish. Go, Rudy. [whispers: go]

chomp chomp

I am SO thankful that I can bite things.

Currently...

... watching: Twister
... cooking: garlic toast and southwestern eggrolls
... blogging: in the kitchen, standing up at the counter
... looking at: a huge pile of boxes stacked in the corner
... wondering: where all my towels are
... curious: about what the strange smell is in the kitchen
... grateful: for four bar stools to balance out the feng shui of the dining area
... realizing: the funky smell is from the soy sauce/sushi remains
... lighting: a blue candle to mask smell
... avoiding: taking the trash out
... thinking: that sleep would be nice right now
... aware: of the coffee that has been sitting there for 5 hours.
... shocked: that it has been 5 hours since 1:00 am
... amazed: by my mathematical prowess

... aren't you?

Cow. 'nother cow.

One good thing about staying up for ungodly amounts of time, is that you get to catch moves on TNT. For example, I'm now watching Twister. And am totally coveting Helen Hunt's hair. I wonder whatever happened to Helen Hunt? I think the last thing I saw her in was that What Women Want movie with Mel Gibson. She's like, one of my all-time favorite actresses. Y'all I am SO TIRED. I mean, like... I want to sleeeeeep. I'm going to make some iced coffee and chat with Lily. And examine my teeth.

My underwear rollabout has been cut short.

I just remembered that I have been consistently late for the last two posts, and didn't want it to happen again. I AM SO THIRSTY. We are now in the kitchen. We've now just turned around in circles twice searching for an ice tray. With ice. We're extremely dizzy and are resting our heads against the cabinets. thirsty........ right. Ice. Found. The cup is now filling with water in the sink, via the slow Purita... wait... no... a PUR filter that needs to be changed. Very. Slow. Trickle. Must. Pee. *does so*

We have now chugged the entire cup of water. Feeling refreshed and ready to post, we pack up our stuff and head back to the bedroom. Collapsing on the bed, we are horrified to see that it is a "Girls Gone Wild" infomercial. Vile. Ah, Happy Days. Much better.

A-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a.

Now she looks Asian.

..and angry.
Agk_part2

Ok fine. I give up. And bow to your artistic prowess, and shall put away my pens and my 3x5 index cards. Now I shall simply roll around in my underwear and watch an infomercial for Temper-Pedic and wait 'til it's time to blog again. I hope you're satisfied.
