Ooooomigoodness, you guys! Today is THE DAY. *cue trumpets* The lighting of the torch. The casting on of yarn. The makings of something beautiful. Friends, you can almost TASTE the nervous anticipation filling the air - mingled with an ever-increasing fear of failure.
Or, maybe that's just me.
*note to self: get... a... life*
- purchase 3-ring binder
- learn the Crochet Cast On method
- buy safety pins
- create a "I'm Making a Tubey" song-mix in iTunes
- concoct a more efficient way of transporting my knitting
- wind my beautiful yarn hanks
- find kitchen counter
- read Night by Elie Wiesel
My hair is a WRECK. Don't know why. Just is. Happy birthday to my very dear friend, Lee. He is 24. Ooooooooold. My very good friend Tony had a birthday this week, too. He turns 24 as well. I think? Tony's band had an AWESOME show last night - I drove to Raleigh to hear them play, and it was worth every moment of sheer exhaustion. They rock. And everyone in the band is so friggin hot. It's going to be so cool to say "I knew them when....". There was this huge long line by the time I actually arrived at the Brewery. It was cold. Melysa and Tony were already inside - and of course Melysa gets in for free because she's married to the bass player... but poor little Sara was left out in the cold. Melysa hooked me up, though. Yo. Evidently the drummer, Mike let me come in as his "friend". Soooo - I got to see the show for free. Rock on. (sidebar: Mike is hot.)
So, that was my big exciting Thursday night. I fully intend on becoming a groupie. I *may* even make t-shirts. heh. I am an artiste after all.

Hey not fair, you didn't allow comments on the next one.
I crocheted through part of the ceremony. Did you see the 55 year old grandmother who is competing in the luge? That is one crazy woman I think.
