Last night I was taken out to eat one of the city's "hippest" joints. The Melting Pot. The financial advsior with a kiask in the front lobby should've been our first indication that this might be a little bit of a 
pricey venture. We're talking.... $72 for TWO people. TWO. Two stomachs. Two bodies. Two mouths. Two. But we had jest come down off that thar mountain and decided, well hell! Fer $72, that erghta feed all six of us! And lo. It did. And it was good. Gooooooood. I have never laughed so hard in my WHOLE entire life. They brought out the "dessert" which was 2 oz of melted chocolate, and a platter filled with marshmellows, pineapple, strawberries, cheesecake, brownies, bananas and other assorted things meant for dipping. It was a FEEDING FRENZY!!!! 6 people reaching, shrieking, darting, elbowing, reaching, screaming, slinging, and STUFFING the food into their MOUTHS was totally something to behold.
That was the last "HOORAH" before my orthodontic appointment today, which was as I discovered - the SEVENTH level of orthodontic hell. New wires, and synthetic "chain" stretching all the way from one side of my mouth to the other. SO. NOT. FUN. But Mandie taking unflattering pictures of my double/hairy chin made things SO much 
better. hehe. Actually, she got some really GOOD shots - as you can see here. She's also saved me an extra $300 in car expenses, so I really SHOULD be grateful.
Speaking of which - she's still working on it! YAY. She's my HERO. And stuff. AS WELL AS, the photographic genius responsible for all the pictures in this post. Just sayin.
